Given the Washington Capitals' recent playoff history, it's fair to assume the team might be cursed.

The Presidents' Trophy winners once again exited the playoffs in the second round at the hands of the Penguins.

The loss was devastating and deflating for fans, players and the media members that cover the team every day because of the Caps' recent playoff history.
Friday, Capitals players spoke to the media and Evgeny Kuznetsov tried to lighten the mood a little bit.

Some fans weren't too thrilled with that Kuznetsov quote to say the least.

Others were fine with it, as they should be because at the end of the day, life goes on and it's a game, someone has to win and someone has to lose.

As per Isabelle Khurshudyan, Kuznetsov is an upbeat and happy person, and there's nothing wrong with that.

As fans, it was easy to see Kuznetsov's happy personality on the ice, and it was a joy to watch.

Kuznetsov had some fun with the media and hit on the serious topics, too.

The 24-year-old is super talented and you can tell he loves the game of hockey.

The Caps have a young star that is only going to get better, and at the end of the day, his personality is what makes him who he is, like it or not.
