After all these years in Toronto, you can tell that Kyle Lowry has made his impact felt.

At Sunday’s media availability, a young reporter for CBC Kids News asked Lowry what it was like to be an icon to kids throughout Canada. Lowry’s reaction is one of genuine surprise, and he respondes with a very classy, thoughtful message.

Before moving on to the next question, Lowry jokes that there’s no beating that one.

#KyleLowry was loving this question from the junior kid reporter.

It’s a pretty wholesome interaction! There has been a whole lot of change in Toronto recently, but one thing that hasn’t changed is Lowry’s relationship with the city. He continues to hold it down and serve as a role model to others.

Of course, people have responded to that positively, but Lowry stays humble. Even when he saw the turnout by Raptors fans in Oakland for Game 4, Lowry couldn’t hide his amazement.
