Patrik Laine’s name has been all over hockey Twitter over the past few days as the Winnipeg Jets sniper continues to be involved in trade rumours.

But while hockey fans speculate where he’ll end up or if he’ll even get traded by the Jets, Laine has been enjoying his offseason back home in Finland. Recently, he teamed up with Florida Panthers star Aleksander Barkov for their annual LaineBarkov Charity Golf tournament and they raised more than $100,000 for the Tampere Association for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities.

The tournament was held in Finland, and the two NHL stars raised funds for their cause by auctioning off multiple game-used items and pieces of memorabilia, including a pair of Laine’s game-worn customized skates, Barkov’s signed stick, Auston Matthews’ signed stick, and other items.

Mieletön potti hyvän asian puolesta! Kiitos kaikille osallistujille, jotka mahdollistivat tämänkin avun. Olosuhteet huomioon ottaen on mahtava nähdä, kuinka moni ihminen tarjoaa auttavaa kättä sitä tarvitseville. 🤝❤️🏌🏽‍♂️⛳️ #lainebarkovcharitygolf #nokiarivergolf #tampereenkehitysvammaistentukiry
