There probably wasn’t a quarterback around the league that had a better day on Sunday than Ravens’ second-year QB Lamar Jackson, who led Baltimore to a 59-10 drubbing of the Dolphins.

His critics, who refer to Jackson as a ‘running quarterback’ with no passing game, may be surprised to hear that Jackson did most of his damage with the pass: he completed 17-of-20 passes for 324 yards and five touchdowns with no interceptions.

Yes, we know he can run, but the Ravens didn’t even need that in Week 1. Jackson only ran three times against the Dolphins, instead relying on picturesque passes like these. Look at the flick of the wrist!

After the game, Jackson left us with a good little zinger for his critics.

GOTTEM.

Athletic quarterbacks tend to take a lot of pressure (also often racially coded) to switch positions, regardless of whether or not they actually prove to be successful with the pass, but what’s not to like about Lamar Jackson?

He’s already got the co-sign from one of the best to ever do it.
