LaVar Ball has said a number of incredibly ludicrous things in the short time since becoming a household name, but arguably the most insane thing he's ever said involved Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors.

While his son Lonzo was still playing for UCLA, LaVar said he was better than the two-time MVP, and Wednesday night he doubled down with the Warriors in town to take on the Lakers.

Based on how underwhelming Lonzo has been thus far in his rookie season, this take looks even worse than it did when LaVar originally said it.

Look, we're all for being your child's biggest fan, but until Lonzo proves it, there's nothing about his game right now that puts him in the same stratosphere as Steph.

He could get there, though, and if he does, that's when the debates can begin, but until then, Lonzo (and LaVar for that matter) just need to focus on what they're doing and how they're going to get better.

He’s got a point, you know.

Wednesday night, Curry got the victory over Ball as his Warriors outlasted the Lakers to win in OT.
