Rasmus Sandin is the newest prospect that Leafs fans will be getting excited about as he rises through the organizational rankings, but heโ€™s pretty excited as well.

Sandin grew up in Sweden but played his most recent season of hockey in the OHL, playing for the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. Living in near Toronto, that would have been one of his first opportunities to watch a lot of the team play and he made it clear after the draft that he was excited to play with two players in particular: Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner.

So, with the Leafs Blueprint team (The Leafsโ€™ behind  the scenes digital show) following around the newest draft pick, they caught a candid moment in which Sandin realized that not only did Auston Matthews text him, but he also missed a call from his future teammate.

Who knows how long it will be before Sandin is able to play with players like Matthews and Marner, but the focus now for most Leafs fans is if heโ€™ll be playing with John Tavares in the near future as well.
