New York Knicks fans are more optimistic than ever, with Kristaps Porzingis leading the team in a more positive direction than they’ve been on in years.

However, LeBron James may have set back some of their excitement last night after handing them a crushing defeat.

The Knicks were up by 23 in New York last night against the Cavs, when LeBron decided to take control of the game. That lead was quickly erased thanks to a huge fourth quarter from James and Kyle Korver.

Then, this morning, he decided to rub a little salt in the wound.

James posted a photo of himself on top of the Knicks logo from last night, but the caption is where he really made it sting. He wrote “You’re welcome… [King] of New York #myfavoriteplayground #striveforgreatness” as the caption for the photo. That has to sting a little more given all the years that Knicks fan had hoped he would form a super team with them instead of Miami or Cleveland.

You're welcome.. 👑of NY #myfavoriteplayground #striveforgreatness🚀
