LeBron James is the best basketball player on the planet and just in case anyone needed a reminder of that fact, James gave it to those people Wednesday night in the form of a 44-point outing.

Los Angeles won its 4th straight game as they defeated Portland and James went off for 44 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists, one steal, and three blocks.  He also made history by passing Wilt Chamberlain on the all-time points list.

The historic accomplishment put a bow on an incredible night for LeBron, who took a souvenir from the game to remember the night by.

That ball will be added to what we imagine is already a stacked collection of basketball items and LeBron is poised to continue moving up the all-time points list.

Up next is the man brought up alongside him in every basketball debate, Michael Jordan, and barring an injury or drastic dip in production, he should pass MJ later this season.
