Times are tough for the Edmonton Oilers right now. Times have been tough for a while now, but recently, they’ve been especially tough.

The Oilers have lost 6 consecutive games, and the slump is even greater than that. They’ve actually lost 12 of their last 14 games, dating back to the end of November.

While some would point to the goaltending, and other would point to the inconsistent scoring that seriously lacks depth, the Oilers seem to be more victim to a sum of all their parts. Nothing is going well for them, and you can see the constant losing is taking its toll on players.

This week, it was Leon Draisaitl going viral for his not-impressed demeanor during a press conference. The attitude certainly rubbed Postmedia journalist (and media member of the Hockey Hall of Fame) Jim Matheson the wrong way. The two traded jabs at each other, with Matheson calling Draisaitl “pissy” for his conduct.

Immediately, the internet began to take sides. Some thought that Draisaitl should have conducted himself differently, while other believed it was Matheson who crossed the line.

We’ll let you decide on this one.
