On Monday, EA Sports NHL released the first player rating for NHL 19 and the player they chose wasn't a surprise, but the rating was.

P.K. Subban, the cover athlete for the newest instalment of the popular hockey video game franchise, was given a rating of 88.  It's a surprising rating for someone who was not only a Norris Trophy finalist, but had a career year in Nashville.

It's obviously important to note that every player's ratings will change throughout the season, but you'd figure the cover athlete would have at least been given an initial rating of 90 or better.

That said, we're not sure Subban is losing sleep over the rating and he's a 100 in his girlfriend Lindsey Vonn's eyes:

Also, we can't just gloss over the fact that Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz sent a friendly shot Subban's way, which isn't a surprise considering the two are friends and worked out together this summer.
