The New York Mets got off to a hot start of the 2018 MLB season but unfortunately that went up in flames. You already know where we’re going with this.

Citi Field, home of the declining Mets team, caught fire on Wednesday. Videos showing huge flames coming within the stadium were apparently preluded by a loud blast. Upon further investigation it appears as though something caught fire in a display case in the Jackie Robinson Rotunda, leading to the Flames and heavy smoke.

Despite appearing to be a big problem, apparently the damage is fairly minimal. The flames were dealt with by the stadium’s fire suppression system, and it was extinguished before the Fire Department arrived.
