Last Friday night, Johnny Manziel took his first snaps in the CFL in Hamilton's pre-season game against Toronto and he looked solid completing 9 of 11 passes for 80 yards and twice for 10 yards.

Manziel still has a long way to go to unseat Jeremiah Masoli as the team's starting quarterback, but for the first time since 2015, he has the opportunity to play football again and he's thankful for that.

Thankful for better days and the opportunity to do what I love #ComebackSZN

The comeback has been a long time coming for Manziel, who's ultimate goal still is getting back to the NFL, and the next two years in Hamilton are the first steps in that journey.

Saturday, Manziel will have another opportunity to impress as Masoli won't be dressing for Hamilton's final pre-season game against Montreal.
