It likely wouldn’t have happened without the mastermind Masai Ujiri and his off-season/in-season moves. Notably, the trade for Kawhi Leonard, which was met with a lot of backlash and the heatache of losing loyal star Demar DeRozan.
Another move at the trade deadline has helped to bolster the Raps lineup – the trade for Marc Gasol.
Gasol left the lowly Memphis Grizzlies and joined a Raptors squad ripe with potential. On Saturday, the Raps met that potential by advancing to their first ever Finals. On the way out of the arena, Gasol made sure to show the fans some love.
