The summer of Marc Gasol continues. After capturing the NBA championship with the Raptors in June, the 34-year-old moved right on to join Spain at the FIBA World Cup, where they claimed gold on Sunday. Gasol becomes just the sixth player in history to win a NBA title and FIBA or Olympic gold in the same year.
Of course, if you remember literally anything at all from the parade, thereโs a good chance that itโs Gasol getting so sauced up that Eric Moreland was basically put in charge of making sure he didnโt fall off the bus.
Well, that Gasol is making a comeback. Beer Papi is on a wave.
His brother Pau wrote a very sweet message on Instagram, congratulating Marc on winning โabsolutely everything this seasonโ and expressing his pride for his brother.
Marc simply replies, โCall me BEER PAPI.โ
