As demonstrations against the death of George Floyd and police brutality continue across the United States and elsewhere, we’ve seen a number of professional athletes participate in protests as well.

A contingent from the Dallas Mavericks joined in a local protest on Sunday, including owner Mark Cuban as well as Dwight Powell, Justin Jackson, Maxi Kleber and Jalen Brunson.

While we’ve seen many sports teams issue statements against racism and police brutality, it has been less common to see owners or executives of those teams take a stand along with protestors, but Cuban has always been outspoken among NBA owners.
