Calgary Flames captain Mark Giordano had a bit of a blooper during his team’s 4-1 road win over the Washington Capitals on Monday night.

The defenceman was perfectly caught in the middle of an awkward stretch that looked an awful lot like 'twerking'.

Hockey players will occasionally squat and stretch out their legs on the bench, but the whole business at the end was a bit much. The whole thing reminded us of another hockey star who decided to show off some of his own moves on the ice. Can you recall when Jeremy Roenick put on the show of a lifetime?

Legendary.

Giordano is one of many athletes to twerk mid-game. Most notably in football, players from the sport have broken into the dance in part of a touchdown celebration.

The Antonio Brown twerk was pretty smooth, but the same can’t be said about Joseph Fauria’s. That one was pretty tough to watch.

Whether they like it or not, players will always have at least one camera on them and must be cautious with what they do during a game. We’re happy this one was caught, though.
