Matt Moulson is in his first season with the Hershey Bears and it’s safe to say his teammates are happy to have him on board.

On Friday night, the Bears paid a visit to the Springfield Thunderbirds and it happened to be Moulson’s 1,000th career game at the professional level (650 NHL games, 350 AHL games).

As a way to celebrate Moulson’s big night, his teammates surprised him before the game with some matching shirts for the special occasion.

Moulson stepped up in his 1,000th career professional game as he scored twice to give him a team-leading 15 goals and he upped his point total to 30 points in 45 games, good for second highest on the team.

In 650 NHL games Moulson scored 176 goals and 369 points, and he has 135 goals and 298 points in 350 AHL games.
