It was a tough night for Winnipeg Jets fans who not only saw their team lose the first game of the qualifying round to the Flames, but also witnessed Mark Scheifele and Patrik Laine leave the game with injuries.

Mark Scheifele’s injury occurred when he was taken into the boards by Matthew Tkachuk. Jets coach Paul Maurice felt like Tkachuk intentionally kicked Scheifele in the leg with his skate.

It's safe to say that Maurice and Tkachuk aren't going to agree on this matter anytime soon. Regardless of whether it was an accident or not, Scheifele was forced to leave the game and is set to meet with a specialist today. Laine is also meeting with a specialist today after his collision with Mark Giordano.

Hold your breath Jets fans, hopefully there’s some good news coming your way.
