Things have gone from bad to worse for the Calgary Flames.

On Sunday night, Bill Peters’ squad dropped its fourth straight loss in an ugly 6-0 beat down by the Vegas Golden Knights. Calgary has now been shutout in two straight (3-0 loss to the Coyotes on Saturday) and have now been outscored 15-3 over the losing streak. Star forward Matthew Tkachuk has never been one to hold back and after Sunday’s contest, he let it allllllllll out.

Tkachuk has been one of the few bright spots on an underperforming Flames team this season. After finishing first in the West the previous campaigns, Calgary finds itself outside of the playoff picture with a 10-10-3 record. Tkachuk leads the Flames with 10 goals and 10 assists, followed by Johnny Gaudreau with 5 and 13. Gaudreau finished tied for 7th in the league last season with 99 points.

Calgary returns home for a date with the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday night, so time will tell if they’re able to turn things around. We’re sure Matty will be fired up for that one.
