Dogs have been making a big splash in the sports world as of late. From helping out baseball teams across North America to NHL teams training puppies to become guide dogs, the love for doggos is at an all-time high in sports.

With that being said we’d like to introduce you to Benny, a six-year-old Labrador looking to make his mark in the NHL with the Vegas Golden Knights.

Benny was rescued from a shelter by his owner, Cheryl Del Sangro, when he was just a few months old and didn’t waste any time showing off his love for skating and the ice. After noticing how much he loved getting out onto the ice, Del Sangro started bringing the young doggo to their local arena in Las Vegas and started training him every few weeks.

We really hope the Golden Knights consider bringing Benny out to some of their home games this season, or all of them, because he’ll quickly become a huge hit throughout the league.
