Soccer fans are known to be some of the most passionate sports fans in the world. Whether their team is winning or losing, they’re always fully devoted to their team from beginning to end. However, just because soccer fans from around the world have been known to start riots or fights with the opposing side, it doesn’t mean they don’t appreciate other teams or countries.

Last Friday, Egypt opened up their 2018 World Cup with a match against Uruguay. While nearly 100,000 people were watching the game inside the stadium, there were thousands of others watching in the square right outside. One of those Egyptian supporters who turned up to watch his team play their first World Cup match in 28 years happened to be in a wheelchair, so his view of the screen wasn’t the greatest. Noticing this, Mexican and Colombian supporters came together to give the Egyptian fan an experience of a lifetime.

Sports can bring out the worst in people, especially when it’s a tournament involving different nations and not just teams, but they can also bring out the best in people and that’s exactly what happened last Friday at the World Cup.
