On Tuesday, players and media members shared stories about Roy Halladay that displayed how incredible of a person and athlete he was.

The legendary Jays and Phillies pitcher had an impact on everyone that he met, and he had all the qualities you wanted in a generational talent.

Halladay was hard working, he was humble, he was incredibly tough, and he was a fighter.  One story in particular attests to that last quality in particular and it comes from Michael Young, who played with Halladay in Philadelphia.

Young and Halladay were a couple of months away from retiring, and on this day in Chicago, the Doc wasn't at his best:

Halladay left everything he had on the mound every single time he went out there and you couldn't ask for anything more from him.

He inspired other pitchers to do the same and was an example that hard work leads to greatness, and he'll still be that example for years to come as his legacy lives on.
