Most of the time people like to cheer for the hero, but every now and then a good villain comes along that wins over the hearts of a few people.

Even though he’s a fictional character, Shooter McGavin is one of the greatest villains in the history of sports.

Most people who grew up watching Happy Gilmore were fans of Adam Sandler’s character over Christopher McDonald’s, but they didn’t exactly hate the villain in this film.

It’s been more than 20 years since the film’s initial release date but the fictional character is an absolute hit on Twitter.

This summer, the New York Mets’ Short-Season A affiliate the Brooklyn Cyclones are hosting a Villain Appreciation Night and will feature a guest appearance from Christopher McDonald, aka Shooter McGavin.

The Cyclones will be hosting Villain Appreciation Night on Wednesday, July 19, and they will be showing some love for many fictional villains with different events throughout the night.

Aside from the fact that Christopher McDonald will be in attendance for this event, the best part about the entire night has to be the Shooter McGavin bobblehead that fans will be taking home with them.

The bobblehead is from one of the final scenes of the film when Shooter McGavin takes Happy Gilmore’s gold jacket and attempts to run away from the large group of Gilmore fans.

We have seen a lot of great giveaways so far this baseball season, but this is a must-have giveaway for any collector.
