The Toronto Raptors’ popularity is at an all-time high as the team prepares to play in its first ever NBA Finals in franchise history. Over the past few years fans have come from across the GTA during the playoffs to watch the game outside the arena in what’s become known throughout the league as ‘Jurassic Park’.

Well, it’s not going to be the only outdoor location you can catch the upcoming NBA Finals as fans in and around Brampton and Mississauga will have a chance to cheer on the team from a temporary Jurassic Park that will be set up in the city.

Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown shared the news on Tuesday afternoon that part of downtown Brampton will feature its own temporary Jurassic Square for the NBA Finals and the news was followed up with a similar announcement from Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie, who said Celebration Square will be turned into Jurassic Park West.

It’s safe to say a majority of the GTA has Raptors fever right now.
