It’s a question athletes often receive year after year: What is the weirdest thing you’ve ever signed? At Leafs training camp, we finally got to see the future answer in action for Mitch Marner and Connor Carrick.
The Leafs spent the first part of their training camp in Niagara Falls and whenever they head out into other parts of Southern Ontario, they attract a pretty big crowd. Groups of fans have been waiting outside to meet their favourite players and hopefully getting them to sign something. For one fan, that something was a mannequin’s leg.
Still, neither of them have the weirdest thing ever signed on the Maple Leafs. Just last season, Kadri explained that he once signed someone’s french fry.
