Whether you're a kid just starting out your hockey career or you're an adult getting into hockey for the first time in your life, you don't want to be what other players refer to as a "plug."

A plug is basically a player that's not good and there are a number of simple things one can do to avoid being a plug.  Don't just take our word for it, though.  Listen to the advice of Mitch Marner of the Maple Leafs on how to avoid being a plug.

In our opinion, coming in with a roller bag and forgetting to take your skate guards off before going on the ice are the two of the easiest ways to get called a plug.

Luckily Marner is looking out for hockey players everywhere with his advice, and he also just became the first Canadian to get his own signature Red Bull can.

Marner's signature Red Bull can is now available in Ontario and he joins the likes of Neymar, Lexi Thompson, Kris Bryant, and Max Verstappen as athletes with their own signature Red Bull can.
