Before the game got underway, players from around the league took a knee and held up their fists during a moment of silence that lasted 8 minutes and 46 seconds, the exact amount of time Derek Chauvin held his knee on George Floyd’s neck.

As sports continue to return around the world, athletes from all different sports continue to show support for Black Lives Matter and use their platform to speak out against racism and social and injustice.
