Auston Matthews is a generational talent and that fact was confirmed when the results of the NHLPA's Player Poll came out on Wednesday.

One of the questions the players answered was "Which player would you select to start a franchise?" and Matthews finished third in the voting behind Connor McDavid and Sidney Crosby, which is completely understandable.

At practice Wednesday, Morgan Rielly was asked about Matthews being third in the category and the conversation that took place between he and reporters was awesome.

Tough to come in ahead of those players, but if Matthews continues to grow, get better and dominate, the results will be a little close in the years to come.

Rielly also revealed who he voted for as the most underrated player in the NHL right now and his vote went to a teammate of his.
