It’s not very often that the shaving of facial hair becomes a news story, but here we are. Auston Matthews is officially sans mustache, and the whole hockey world seems to have an opinion about it.

After reaching his $134,000 fundraising goal, Matthews – in partnership with Movember – followed through on his promise of shaving off the polarizing mustache that has become a part of his identity. While some reveled in relief, others saw the return of baby-faced Matthews and immediately began requesting him to grow it back.

As for former teammate Nazem Kadri, he didn't say whether he thought it looked good. He simply called out Matthews for looking like he lost a little more than a decade in age.

Kadri is in Toronto as the Colorado Avalanche play the Leafs tonight. Kadri spent 10 years with the Leafs before being shipped off to Colorado in a deal that brought Tyson Barrie and Alex Kerfoot to Toronto.

A known pest at times, Kadri is no stranger to the on-ice mind games. We're looking forward to seeing what happens when he comes face to baby-face with Matthews on the ice.
