He finally did it.

After tons of speculation, New Orleans Pelicans big Anthony Davis shaved off his infamous unibrow. The 25-year-old took to social media to share the news.

Davis has only been recognized with his singular brow since becoming the first overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft. Fans began saying “fear the brow” after he entered the league, and the 5x NBA All-Star has owned the look since. The former Kentucky product became open to the change, though, and asked whether or not he should shave it in a poll on Twitter. After a close 51%-49% nail-biter, basketball fans proved they were ready for a new look. A whopping 631K contributed to the vote.

The video is all too good. First of all, you’d think the guy would at least head to a professional to get the job done. Have you ever seen someone just go straight hack on their eye brows? Neither have we. Got to give it to the guy though, he did a pretty good job.

Second, why not go with a pair of tweezers? We get there was a ton of hair to remove, but it is much more common for people to pluck rather than shave. Regardless, the NBA sadly has one less unibrow in it today.

The time is now!!! Y'all rocking with the headband?? Lol

Everyone knows that hair grows back even thicker after a good shave, so it’ll be interesting to see whether Davis sticks with his new look or comes back with a unibrow that’s even better than his previous one.

Thoughts?
