The Edmonton Oilers knew they had struck gold when they won the Connor McDavid sweepstakes back in 2015, but even they probably didn’t know just how good they got it.

McDavid is absolutely insane when it comes to hockey. The 21-year-old is consistently shattering his own personal bests, and with a few games now in the books of the 2018-19 season, it doesn’t look like that’s going to change.

Last season McDavid won the Art Ross Trophy for recording the league’s most points (108), yet the Edmonton Oilers were still unable to make playoffs.

This season seems to be a continuing trend of McDavid being involved in almost all of the Oilers offence. In fact, for the first nine goals of the Oilers season, he was involved. McDavid set an NHL record with nine consecutive points to begin a season.

McDavid is ridiculous 👀

Unfortunately the streak would come to a halt, as the Oilers completed a wild comeback to send it to overtime where Darnell Nurse scored unassisted.

McDavid continues to light it up, and the Oilers are hoping that it spells out a post season appearance this time around.
