Hockey fans in New York are pulling out the stops to convince John Tavares to stay on Long Island.
Last week, we told you about a bagel shop owner in New York that personally offered to hand deliver Tavares bagels every morning if he re-upped with the Islanders.
If Tavares needed any more carbs in his diet, he’ll now be receiving a “lifetime supply” of cheesecake if the Islanders do in fact bring him back.
We know Tavares isn’t the fleetest on skates, as he uses his brain and superb puck skills to his advantage, so perhaps loading up on cabs all the time isn't the best idea.
A staple in the Big Apple, Junior’s Restaurant opened in 1950, and is known for it’s “World’s Most Fabulous Cheesecake.”
On their website, the company lists their cheesecake “as important as the Brooklyn Dodgers…the Fox Theater…Coney Island…Brighton Beach.
They should probably add “John Tavares” to that sentence, too.
