Hockey is back and so are all of its controversies.

The NHL season kicked off with the Vegas Golden Knights spoiling the Seattle Kraken’s first franchise game. The Kraken rallied back hard from three goals down but ended up losing 4-3 in the end.

Chandler Stephenson scored the go-ahead goal in the third period but there’s only one issue. Mark Stone passed it over to his skate and it deflected off his foot and into the Kraken’s net!

Seems a little odd right? Everyone knows that a goal doesn’t count when it gets kicked in but here’s the catch with this one. Apparently, It’s legal if the skate doesn’t leave the ice so in Stephenson’s case, he’s safe!

While the goal is technically good, NHL fans don’t seem to care. The jokes are hilarious.
