The Vegas Golden Knights, their fans, and many other random hockey fans throughout North America feel like Vegas was cheated in its crucial Game 7 matchup against the San Jose Sharks. Well, whether you believe the call on the ice was the right call or not, the NHL came out and apologized for the officiating in Game 7 on Thursday afternoon.

The NHL didn’t stop at the apology, though, as they also decided not to select the referees, Dan O’Halloran and Eric Furlatt, to work during the second round of the playoffs.

It’s a costly error for both officials and something they'll both learn from, but we're all human and humans make mistakes, so errors are bound to happen.
