The Nick Foles-Matt Nagy marriage appeared to be going just fine until Monday night. Chicago was 5-1 entering their Week 7 contest and the offence was playing just well enough to help the team get wins (let’s not forget about that defence), but according to the Super Bower LII MVP, he hasn’t exactly been in love with his head coach’s play-calling.

Monday Night Football broadcaster and former NFL quarterback Brian Griese explained a conversation he had with Foles in which the latter admitted some of the plays he’s been sent in haven't been working because there hasn't been enough time to pull them off. The comment doesn’t appear to be particularly malicious in any way but Nagy probably would’ve preferred for that conversation to have stayed private.

Then again… maybe the whole thing was just a miscommunication?

The Bears have scored the fifth fewest touchdowns in the league (15) and have put up just 138 points (sixth last). Chicago still sits at 5-2 so it’s not too late to get this figured out. Miscommunication or not, Nagy and Foles need to get on the page before it's too late.
