It’s always fun finding an NHLer call out his teammate on social media.

A couple of New Jersey Devils shared a hilarious exchange on Twitter after a video of a player trucking a goalie in what looked to be a shootout went viral across the web. After ‘Spittin Chiclets’ challenged their followers to tag that one teammate on their team, Devils tendy Keith Kinkaid took it upon himself to tag his Devils buddy Kyle Palmieri. The latter was quick to stand up for himself, insisting that the goalie was out of his crease.

Okay, so Kinkaid mayyyyyyy have been referring to one of the darker moments of Palmieri’s career. Does anyone remember when he made contact with Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price, who responded with a series of blockers to the forward’s face?

Who knows, maybe Palmieri has a habit of doing the same kind of thing in practice, but you’ve got to think it was at least in some reference to that moment. Who could forget?!

If there’s one thing all hockey players can agree on, it’s that life as a goalie clearly isn’t easy. Just ask this guy…
