Some goals are so nice that they just need to be replicated. Like Mitch Marner's stick-grab from Wednesday night for example.

Paul Gaul of the ECHL's South Carolina Stingrays took a note out of Marner’s book by grabbing a stick off of the bench on a scoring play. Unlike Marner, Gaul kept the puck and took matters into his own hands. Marner on the other hand gave a beautiful dish to his buddy John Tavares after receiving a new stick mid-play on the bench.

Fights off the defender and snipes top cheddar? Yeah, that’s a goal-of-the-year candidate right there!

We hope this dude showed the same kind of gratitude that the Leafs showed to their stick deliverer. Marner and Auston Matthews made sure to give a special shoutout to equipment manager Bobby Hastings after Marner's memorable play.

Hopefully Mitch and the boys have a chance to check this one out ahead of their game against the Minnesota Wild. What a goal!
