Kobe Bryant was around the league a long, long time. He was drafted straight out of high school in the 1996 draft and managed to lace up the sneakers every year up until 2016 when he finally called it a career after putting up an incredible 60 points against the Utah Jazz in his final game. For much of that journey, he has periodically stopped in to hang out with Cabbie in a few editions of Cabbie Presents

1. The 2013 All-Star weekend.

Grouped up with LeBron James and other NBA stars, Kobe Bryant joins Cabbie in reflecting back on memorable moments. From Kobe's 81-point night to the USA gold medal winning team, Cabbie, Kobe, and King James cover all the bases by reflecting back on particular pieces of the now famous images.

2. Cabbie wishes Kobe a happy retirement

The man who once lit up Canada's team for 81 points was finally hanging up the shoes and Cabbie wanted to say goodbye in a friendly Canadian way - just with a modest 30,000 hugs. They go on to discuss where Cabbie fits in to Kobe's future, which may not be quite as close to the Black Mamba as Cabbie may have hoped.

It's clear the two have developed a very close bond, and Cabbie even keeps a pair of signed Kobe sneakers in a clear case, claiming them to be the most prized pair in his massive shoe collection. At least until Dion Phaneuf comes to pick them up, that is...

Sorry @dionphaneuf, they’re Cabbie’s sneaks now 😂👟 #PresentingCabbie
