Ben Simmons has arrived in the NBA, and he’s not going anywhere anytime soon. Simmons, along with centre Joel Embiid, have resurrected the Philadelphia 76ers in what has been deemed a successful “process”. If Markelle Fultz is able to find his stroke and recover from injury, the 76ers are one of the youngest and most dangerous teams in the league.

Simmons has been no small part of that. His well-balanced game adds another dimension for opponents to worry about as he continues his charge to what is shaping up to be a Rookie of the Year campaign.

While Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook has almost desensitized audiences to the idea of a triple-double, it represents elite level dominance and well-spread talents if you are able to pull it off. This is a testament to how good Simmons has been, as he has managed to pull off nine of them this year.

As found out by Reddit user u/ih8reposts, Simmons may not match up to OKC’s franchise leader, but there are ten teams that have a triple-double franchise leader either matched or lower than Simmons.

Before the end of his rookie season, Simmons has managed to accomplish a total amount of triple-doubles that matches or beats one third of the league’s franchise leader.

Not only that, he seems to be protecting the ball fairly well too…

We repeat, Ben Simmons has arrived.
