Alex Ovechkin has always been a goofball, but he fully won his way into the hearts of most hockey fans when he led the Washington Capitals to their franchise first Stanley Cup. It wasn’t necessarily because of the legendary-player-finally-wins-Cup element – although that was very cool – but it was his post-championship celebrations that had most fans very, very glad the Caps won.
Looking back on the Top 10 off-ice moments, it’s clear that Ovi’s off-ice shenanigans didn’t begin with the championship. Ovi has always been Ovi, but what some used to call goofy and unprofessional, we’re almost all calling legendary now.
Probably a good idea just to allot all his post-championship moments into one video, there are way too many Ovi moments to put into a Top 10.
Ovi will never break, because he is the best.
