With the 2016-17 NHL season done and dusted, and the bulk of the NHL free agent frenzy done, players are now just starting to get settled into summer vacation mode.

We think anyone would agree that one of the best things to do when you get time off is to just get away, which is what Nashville Predators defenceman P.K. Subban decided to do, travelling to London to take in one of the most prestigious sporting events in the world, Wimbledon. Seven-time Wimbledon champ Serena Williams may be on maternity leave, but that didn't stop Subban from fanning out in her presence. Well, sort of...

It's not quite as good as snapping a picture with the real Serena Williams, but it will have to do for now. This year marks the first time in over a decade that Williams will not be competing at Wimbledon, but the famous lawns at the All England Club have certainly been on her mind.

Wimbledon got me like: Easy standing drills this morning. Go easy.

Subban also paid Montreal-native Francoise Abanda a visit after she advanced to the second round at Wimbledon, taking a selfie with the young Canadian (top video). If Williams is back in action next year at Wimbledon, we certainly would love to see how Subban would react if he got the chance to actually see the tennis legend in-person. Luckily enough he did run into two other tennis legends this year, one of which he is backing to take the title.

The legend himself 👌🏿
