Before he became a world champion, the NBA’s Most Improved Player and — hey, no point in mincing words here! — something resembling a future All-Star, Pascal Siakam was holding it down as part of the Raptors’ beloved “Bench Mob.”

His partner in the frontcourt, Jakob Poeltl, was also one of his best buddies on the team, but unfortunately, that bromance was a casualty of the trade that landed Kawhi Leonard in Toronto.

Of course, it being August now and the duldroms of the offseason, you knew Jak and Skills had to link up.

Hello to the feelings!

For those interested in a more permanent reunion, it’s worth noting that both Siakam and Poeltl will be restricted free agents at the end of the upcoming season. It seems relatively likely that both players will be brought back by their current teams, but wouldn’t it be awesome to see these two team up again?

Then, just go get Delon Wright back — he’s on the Mavs now, and still showing Toronto plenty of love — and hey, the Raptors could have the band back together! (We can dream, right?)
