The Clippers’ feared dynamic duo of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George has yet to make its official debut, but George is nearing his return to action after working his way back from offseason shoulder surgeries.
In the meantime, George is getting to know his new teammates on the practice court, and he can already confirm one truth: Kawhi is a Fun Guy.
Kawhi doesn’t let loose like that in public all that time, but his teammates have consistently talked up his personality as a locker room guy. We’d love to be a fly on the wall in that situation, but until then, having it confirmed second-hand by his teammates will have to do. And PG, of course, has already starred in TV commercials with his new running mate.
George could potentially make his return when the Clippers host Kawhi’s former team, the Raptors, on Monday, although his status is regarded as doubtful for that one.
As for Kawhi, he made sure to acknowledge the love he’s still getting from Canadians based in the U.S. There’s even a random Winnipeg name drop here!
