Russian hockey star Pavel Datsyuk may be two seasons removed from his NHL career, but the 39-year-old is still putting on a show in the Kontinental Hockey League. Already with one goal and five in the first four games of the KHL season, the former Red Wing capped off yesterday’s 4-3 shootout win for SKA Saint Petersburg over Vityaz Moscow with this slick move, which we’ve seen many times before during his time in Detroit

Same old Datsyuk.

It’s amazing to see the how effortless he makes the backhand, forehand move with such precision and execution before sliding in in past the opposing netminder. The magic man is still swift as they come, and still a threat to embarrass goaltenders all over the world.

Datsyuk was named the third star in the win. Fans of the magician will all but surely have a chance to see his dirty dangles in 2018 Olympics for Team Russia, who are currently the odds on favourite to claim the gold medal with NHL being absent from the games.
