One thing that has become a trend over the years is college coaches surprising a student on the team with some sort of scholarship and it’s a trend we’ll never get tired of.

On Tuesday, Penn State Nittany Lions football coach James Franklin had the players come together at practice to make a special announcement. The conversation got started with coach Franklin asking the players which of them work jobs on the side outside of school and football and almost immediately singled out long snapper Kyle Vasey. The senior went on to reveal that he currently works as a bar back and a bouncer at Bar Bleu and works from 8pm to 3am roughly four or five days a week, and the response he got from his coach got the entire team jumping up and down.

After telling his coach and teammates about his hectic work schedule outside of school and football, coach Franklin simply responded with “Quit, you’re on full scholarship”, and his teammates went insane.

It doesn’t get much better than that.
