The Gatorade shower is a tradition that has been around in sports for decades. Even when players or coaches see it coming, they never really see it coming. It always comes as a surprise.
Saturday, following Penn State's 35-28 win over Washington in the Fiesta Bowl, Nittany Lions head coach James Franklin was definitely taken by surprise, and he didn't seem to enjoy that surprise all that much.
Clearly Franklin was just kidding, and he likely didn't mind the Gatorade shower all that much. Remember, this is the same guy who at half time joked about not being happy with one of his player's touchdown celebrations because it left him with a sore rib.
