The Pittsburgh Steelers were victims of a suddenly high-octane Jacksonville Jaguars team, leading to their elimination from the NFL playoffs. Now Steel city has shifted their focus to the Pittsburgh Penguins, who have looked very good through one and a half rounds of the NHL playoffs so far.

This doesn’t just go for the casual Pittsburgh resident either, on Thursday a few Steelers players actually showed up to show their support to the Pens. One of them, Ryan Shazier, had a particularly loud roar from the audience based on his inspiring recovery from am extremely scary spinal contusion that left many thinking he’d never walk again. The other, JuJu Smith-Schuster, played into the crowd a little bit when he stood up and performed a Fortnite dance for PPG Paints Arena.

It’s not the first time fans have cheered on Ryan Shazier during his recovery process either, on draft day the linebacker actually made the walk out to the podium to announce the Steelers first round draft pick.

Truly incredible stuff, and it apparently lit a fire under the Penguins on Thursday. They went on to win the game 3-1 and tie the series up at 2.
