It’s every kid’s dream to meet their favourite professional athletes. But to crack their Instagram story? That’s a whole different animal.

The Pittsburgh Penguins traveled to Edmonton in preparation of their game against the Oilers and some of their faithful from North of the Border gave them a good ole’ Canadian welcome. Fans gathered around to take pictures of the team, but it was al-star forward Evgeni Malkin who ended up taking the best picture. Through the flood of fans, he managed to find a young fan holding the perfect sign that featured him, Sid, and everyone’s favourite ‘Phil the Thrill’.

Not sure if eating hot dogs like the guy is exactly something to shoot for, but oh well…

Phil has a way of making his way onto the best signs. After capturing his second cup in 2017, a fan at College Game Day made sure to remind the world of his latest accomplishment.

The guy is too easy to have fun with!

It looks like the Pens will have a decent following at tomorrow night’s game but for now, they’re just soaking in all the #views.
