Tuesday night, the Jets beat the Canucks 4-0.  Unfortunately one of the big talking points coming out of that game was an elbow to the head of Mathieu Perreault from Jake Virtanen.

Thursday, Perreault spoke to the media about the hit and called out NHL Player Safety for not suspending Virtanen for the hit he delivered.

Perreault sent a very clear message that could get him fined due to the profanity, but he likely doesn't care about that if it means some good comes out of this.

At the end of the day players just want to be safe when they're playing the sport they love and eliminate dangerous hits from the game.  Part of it is on them to play safe and part of it is on the league to react accordingly when dangerous hits are delivered.
