Red Wings goaltenders Jimmy Howard and Petr Mrazek have combined for the 9th best save percentage in the NHL at .912, and have been a huge factor as to why the Wings are sitting third in the Atlantic division with 25 points.

Last week, we told you about Mrazek’s new mask that pays tribute to late Red Wings owner Mike Illitch, and the new stadium that Illitch helped build, Little Caesars Arena. Mrazek followed suit of his fellow crease companion, Jimmy Howard, after Howard paid homage to Illitch.

Mrazek and Howard have teamed up in the past to bring some of the most creative and topical masks, like the Christmas themed cages from last season.

In keeping up  with the honouring traditions, Mrazek and Howard have one again partnered up with a pair of Hockey Fights Cancer goalie masks for the Wings' special Hockey Fights Cancer Awareness night on Tuesday when they host the Kings.

The Wings will welcome over 100 cancer patients, caretakers, patients and surviours from the American Cancer Society. Signed pucks, 50/50 raffle tickets, and lavender coloured used Red Wings Hockey Fights Cancer equipment will be auctioned off with proceeds going to the American Cabcer Society’s Road to Recovery program.
